A new study found that focusing on exercise goals may fire up your intention to engage in the activities that will help you achieve those goals.
But there’s a major downside.
Staying focused on goals may spoil your experience of the actual activities you are doing. In turn, you may be far more likely to drop out early and fail to achieve the very goals that you’re so focused on.
